Tips and suggestions for air fryer hard boiled eggs recipes

  1. Cook time: Depending on the size of your eggs and the type of air fryer you have, the cook time may vary slightly. For large eggs, 15 minutes at 250°F is usually sufficient. For extra-large eggs, you may need to add an extra minute or two.
  2. Use fresh eggs: Fresh eggs are best for hard boiling, as they have a firmer white and the yolk is less likely to stick to the shell. However, if you only have older eggs on hand, add a teaspoon of baking soda to the water before boiling to help make them easier to peel.
  3. Cooling: Once the eggs are done cooking, it’s important to cool them down quickly to prevent overcooking and make them easier to peel. Transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water for at least 5 minutes before peeling.
  4. Seasoning: While the air fryer hard boiled eggs are delicious on their own, you can also experiment with different seasonings to add some extra flavor. Try sprinkling them with salt, pepper, or your favorite spice blend.
  5. Serving: Air fryer hard boiled eggs are great for snacks, salads, sandwiches, and more. Try chopping them up and adding them to a green salad, or slicing them and serving with a side of toast.
  6. Experiment with soft boiled eggs: If you prefer your eggs with a slightly runny yolk, try cooking them for 12-13 minutes instead of 15.
  7. Deviled eggs: Air fryer hard boiled eggs are perfect for making deviled eggs. Simply cut them in half, scoop out the yolk, mix with your favorite seasonings and fill the egg white halves.

Overall, air fryer hard boiled eggs are a delicious and easy-to-make snack or meal that can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. With these tips and suggestions, you’ll be on your way to perfectly cooked and easy-to-peel eggs every time!

Most asked questions about air fryer hard boiled eggs

  1. How long do you cook hard boiled eggs in air fryer?

The recommended cooking time for hard boiled eggs in an air fryer is 15 minutes at a temperature of 250°F. However, the exact cooking time may vary depending on the size of the eggs and the air fryer model, so it’s important to check the eggs to ensure they are cooked to your desired level of doneness. It’s also recommended to let the eggs cool for a few minutes before peeling them.

  1. How do you know when eggs in air fryer are done?

To know when the eggs in the air fryer are done, there are a few methods you can use:

  1. Spin Test: Gently spin the egg on a flat surface. If it spins easily and without wobbling, it is likely fully cooked.
  2. Shake Test: Give the egg a gentle shake next to your ear. If you hear a slight rattle, the egg is likely fully cooked.
  3. Thermometer Test: Use an instant-read thermometer to check the internal temperature of the egg. A fully cooked hard boiled egg should have an internal temperature of 160°F.
  1. How do you peel air fryer boiled eggs?

Peeling air fryer boiled eggs is generally easier than peeling traditional boiled eggs. Here are the steps to peel an air fryer boiled egg:

  1. First, let the eggs cool for a few minutes after cooking. This will make them easier to handle and peel.
  2. Gently tap the egg on a hard surface to crack the shell all over.
  3. Roll the egg between your palms to loosen the shell.
  4. Peel off the shell in small pieces, starting from the wider end of the egg. You can use your fingers or a spoon to help lift the shell off.
  5. Once the shell is removed, rinse the egg under cold water to remove any remaining shell fragments.

  1. Can you cook multiple eggs at once in the air fryer?

Yes, you can cook multiple eggs at once in the air fryer as long as they fit in a single layer in the basket. It’s important to give each egg enough space to cook evenly, so it’s recommended to avoid stacking the eggs on top of each other. If you need to cook more eggs than can fit in a single layer, it’s best to cook them in batches to ensure they cook evenly. Additionally, the cooking time may vary depending on the number of eggs you are cooking and the size of your air fryer, so it’s a good idea to check the eggs to ensure they are cooked to your desired level of doneness.

  1. Do you need to add water to the air fryer when cooking hard boiled eggs?

No, you don’t need to add water to the air fryer when cooking hard boiled eggs. Unlike traditional boiling methods, air fryers use hot air to cook the eggs, so adding water is not necessary. Simply place the eggs in the air fryer basket and cook them at the recommended temperature and time. However, some people prefer to add a small amount of water to the bottom of the air fryer basket to create steam, which can help prevent the eggs from cracking during cooking. This is optional and may depend on your personal preference and air fryer model.

It’s important to note that the exact cooking time may vary depending on the size of the eggs and the air fryer model, so it’s a good idea to check the eggs with one of these methods to ensure they are cooked to your desired level of doneness. Additionally, it’s recommended to let the eggs cool for a few minutes before peeling them.

Effortless Breakfast: Perfectly Cooked Air Fryer Hard Boiled Eggs in just 15 Mins

Air fryer hard boiled eggs are a quick, easy, and delicious way to prepare your eggs. The air fryer method takes only 15 minutes to cook and produces perfectly cooked eggs every time. • Air Fryer
  • 6 large eggs (cold)
  1. Set your wire rack that came with your air fryer inside the basket and place the eggs on top of the wire rack. If your air fryer didn’t come with a wire rack then just place them in the bottom of the air fryer basket. I’ve done it with and without that and both methods work. I just find that the wire rack is easier to lift them all out of the basket at once.
  2. Set the temp to 250 (121 C) and the timer to 15 minutes. After the eggs are done in the air fryer take them out and put them in an ice water bath to stop the cooking. Peel the eggs and enjoy!

  3. Disclaimer: Unfortunately, not all air fryers work the same. If your eggs don’t turn out you will have to adjust the time and temperature accordingly. I have this listed in multiple sections on this page. Adding it to the instructions as well just in case people miss this.
  • This method works for a 1400 to 1700-watt air fryer. Might have to cook longer for smaller air fryers. Please check the wattage on your air fryer before cooking the eggs.
